Moto GP India 2023: The Grand Prix of India 


India is all set to host its first-ever MotoGP event, the Grand Prix of India, from September 22 to 24, 2023, at the Buddha International Circuit, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh


This marks the return of international racing at the Buddha International Circuit, years after it last hosted the F1 Indian GP in 2013.


Under the name of MotoGP Bharat, the Indian Grand Prix is scheduled as the 13th race of the 2023 circuit. Twenty-two riders representing 11 teams will take their positions on the GIC grid, promising a high-energy race with fierce competition and excitement. Motorsport fans are eagerly looking forward to this race as it will be one of the memorable additions to the MotoGP calendar.

Moto GP Bharat: Schedule, Timings, Date,


The event is categorized into three different segments:


• MotoGP: Big bikes with strong 765 cc engines.

• Moto2: Bikes with inline-3 engines, like the Triumph Street Triple RS.

• Moto3: Fun bikes with single-cylinder 250 cc engines, making around 60 bhp power.


Moto GP Indian Grand Prix will begin at 3:30 pm local time (IST) on Sunday, September 24, 2023. For fans in different time zones, the race will commence at 11:00 a.m. (BST) and 6:00 am. (ET) on Sunday. The Sprint event will also start at the same time on Saturday.


• Friday, September 22: Practice sessions will start at 9 a.m. for all bike categories and continue until 4:40 p.m.


• Saturday, September 23: Practice sessions for all the categories, followed by two competitive qualifying rounds. Moreover, a newly introduced sprint race is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.


Sunday, September 24: The day will start with the warm-up session at 11:10 am  


• Moto3 Race: The excitement begins with the Moto3 category at 12:30 p.m.

• Moto2 Race: Following that, the Moto2 category takes the stage at 1:45 p.m.

• MotoGP Race: The main event, the MotoGP race, starts at 3:00 pm

You can book MotoGP Bharat tickets through BookMyShow, starting at Rs. 800 and going up to Rs. 1,80,000 for premium seats. The tickets are valid for all three days, including Friday's free practice sessions, qualifying rounds, the Sprint on Saturday, and the Grand Prix on Sunday.

Premium Stand South: These premium seats offer shade and access to the thrilling MotoGP fan zone experience.

MotoGP Bharat 2023: Bikes and Categories.


MotoGP bikes are custom-made for racing and can't be bought or ridden on regular roads. This makes MotoGP distinct from the Superbike World Championship, where modified versions of regular bikes are used for racing.


MotoGP is split into four classes: MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, and Moto E. In MotoGP, they race with 1,000cc engines, hitting top speeds of around 360 mph. Moto2 utilizes 765cc motorcycles, reaching speeds up to 300 mph, while Moto3 races with 250cc motorcycles, cruising at 240 mph.
