iQOO U5x: A budget smartphone with powerful features, launched in China: Prune

The latest budget U-series smartphone is finally here. The iQOO U5x has launched in China and comes packed with an impressive set of features. From Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC to 5000mAh battery capacity, there's a lot to look forward to from the iQOO 4G smartphone once it makes its way into the Indian market.

iQOO U5x: Specifications and features

The smartphone launched in China features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The display offers a resolution of 720x1600 pixels, and its waterdrop notch design on the panel houses a front camera. And overall, its protective and solid polycarbonate body makes the iQOO U5x a durable option for daily use.

Under the hood, the iQOO U5x comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor paired with 4GB/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The internal storage is further expandable up to 1TB using an external microSD card.

In the camera department, the smartphone boasts a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There's an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The device also flaunts other key features, such as its battery capacity. It has a massive 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support using a micro-USB port. So one can enjoy a standby battery life of up to 25 days.

The iQOO U5x also runs on Android 11-based OriginOS Ocean. The other features include an AI face unlock, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro-USB port.

iQOO U5x: Price and availability

The iQOO U5x is available in two storage options in China. The 4GB RAM with 128GB storage costs around Rs 11,000, while the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage costs around Rs 12,500. The devices are available in attractive colours such as Star Black and Polar Blue.

There are no details about when the iQOO U5x will launch in India, but now that it's finally out in China, we can hope for its much-awaited launch sooner than later.
