Apple iPhone 14: Here's what to expect from the flagship series - Prune

It's been a few months since the launch of the iPhone 13, but the industry is already abuzz with excitement over the new 2022 models. The Apple iPhone 14 series is likely to launch during the fall event, usually when the company unveils new iPhones.

But while the event is still a long way off, there's no stopping the rumours and leaks doing rounds on the internet. From a larger display to a pill-shaped cutout, it seems that there are plenty of new features in store for us this year. Are you excited about the launch of the iPhone 14 lineup? We have put together the expected specs and features of the next-generation iPhones! Read on.

Apple iPhone 14: Expected specifications and features

The iPhone 14 series could sport larger displays to make space for a new design. It is also why the company will do away with the Mini variants and will only focus on bigger iPhones. The iPhone 14 Pro could feature a 6.1-inch display, while the high-end iPhone 14 Pro Max could have a 6.7-inch display. However, the latest leaks suggest that the series will not have an under-display Touch ID which has been one of the most sought-after features till now.

Instead of the usual display notch design, you can expect a pill-shaped cutout and a punch-hole cutout on the front panel that houses a selfie camera. It would be one of the top design changes in the upcoming iPhone series. There will also be significantly thinner bezels in the Pro Max variant, which enhances the screen size overall.

The Pro models are likely to flaunt the powerful Apple A16 Pro processor, while the base models will only come with the A15 Bionic chip or a slightly updated A16 chipset.

In the camera department, the devices could sport a new camera setup and 8K video recording. Instead of the usual 12MP primary camera, you can expect an upgrade of a 48MP primary camera to feature on the iPhone 14 models. It will enable the devices to perform better in low-light conditions and give better-detailed images.

The 48MP sensor also leads us to think that the iPhone 14 lineup could finally have an 8K video recording feature that rivals other high-end Android smartphones in the market, a feature that has been missing for a long time.
