Disney+ Hotstar has a Rs 49 plan! But it might be a selective offer: Prune

We are all up for attractive deals that come with huge discounts. And this includes deals on our favourite video streaming platforms such as Disney+ Hotstar and Netflix. Recently, a user’s comment on Reddit came to notice which said that the Disney+ Hotstar is testing a Rs 49 monthly subscription plan for select Android users. And this news comes as a pleasant surprise and right in time for the holidays, as Netflix had also reduced its prices just recently. So, it’s great to see other streaming giants follow suit.

While the brand is known for its annual subscriptions, the Rs 49 is the first monthly plan for use on one device at a time. The low-priced membership offers high-definition video streaming (720p) with stereo audio quality and access to a full watchlist available from Disney+ Hotstar to its users on a smartphone or tablet. Along with this special membership available to select Android users only, the plan is also only available on limited select payment methods such as Paytm and PhonePe, along with being an ad-supported experience. And this appears to be a discounted version of the plan that costs Rs 99.

As of now, the streaming giant is offering new plans. These include a Rs 499 annual membership for mobile users. Only one user can access it, and it gives the same benefits as the earlier mentioned Rs 49 plan, such as HD video streaming and stereo audio quality on your smartphone. The other plans available to purchase are Super at Rs 899 per year and Premium at Rs 1499 per year. The Super plan gives you access to Disney+ Hotstar’s complete content from two devices with HD streaming. But it is an ad-supported plan. The Premium plan gives you access to the platform from four devices with 4K resolution.
