Bharti Airtel Hikes Entry-Level Tariff to Rs 155 in Remaining 3 Circles

Bharti Airtel, India's leading telecom operator, has hiked its entry-level prepaid tariff from Rs. 99 to Rs. 155 in the remaining three circles: Kolkata, Gujrat and Madhya Pradesh, and Chattisgarh. This comes after the company announced a hike in basic tariff in 19 circles in February. According to reports, Bharti Airtel has completed the hike in entry-level plans in all 22 circles.

The old Rs. 99 plan offered calls at Rs 2.5 paise/minute, 200 MB data for 28 days.

ENTRY-LEVEL AIRTEL PREPAID PLAN:

The new entry-level airtel prepaid plan is Rs 155. The Rs. 155 basic Airtel prepaid plan offers customers unlimited talk time, 1GB of data, and 300 SMS for a validity period of 24 days. Customers can also access additional benefits like Free Hellotunes and Wynk Music.

Morgan Stanley, a leading research and advisory firm, has stated that the hike will likely improve the average revenue per user (ARPU) for Bharti Airtel in the near term.

This tariff hike will impact many prepaid customers, who may have to pay more for their monthly recharge. However, the move aims to improve the company's finances, which have been under pressure due to intense competition in the telecom sector.
