‘Money Heist’ season 5 part 1 review by Prune: An exhilarating show that robs our heart

The much-awaited latest volume of Money Heist has finally dropped on September 3, and it is a thrilling mix of twists and turns that will keep you hooked till the end. The season continues from the season 4 cliffhanger. It is an intense game of survival for the Professor and his crew, which comes to an end with an emotional farewell. While the robbers and the Professor managed to hit the mark with their heists in the previous seasons, the team’s fate takes a wrong turn in the recent one.

This group of anti-heroes who have had a victorious past now face the dark side of things. And while their identities are coming out in the open, we must point out the fact that they’ve come a long way in their looting game. There’s a lot more sharpness and finesse in their heists that make it more interesting to watch. The action-packed season also digs deeper into the back story of Tokyo and a bit of Denver that adds more depth and tear-jerking moments to the storyline. 

After four amazing seasons, the new one doesn’t let us down. It is fantastically cinematic, has well-defined characters, and mind-blowing actions to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. If you’ve been a fan of Money Heist from the start, you’ll feel right at home while still feel the excitement of watching the fate of the robbers unfold.

The writing doesn’t disappoint. You’ll connect with the characters like if you have in the previous seasons. It feels like a beautiful journey you’ve had getting to know them episode after episode. While they are supposedly criminals in the eyes of law, we find ourselves standing by their side. And it is not just about robbery anymore. Season 5 has brought the characters to war. It’s beyond just a mere heist, it’s about standing together as a family and trying to survive against the authorities. One can easily notice and enjoy the big change in the story as it begins to conclude.

While we still want more of Money Heist and there could be more stories by the creators, we also have to accept the fact that the story needs to come to an end. There’s only so much the characters can do for us before they begin to dry out. Now, all we need to do is wait for the exciting finale and bring this incredible journey to an end.
