The Surin Elephant Round-up is an annual spectacle celebrating the long-standing bond between the people of Surin and elephants, who have historically played a vital role in their culture and economy. Hundreds of elephants and their mahouts participate in a grand parade, showcasing impressive displays of strength, intelligence, and traditional skills, including re-enactments of ancient elephant battles and demonstrations of how elephants were used in logging and warfare.
