For our Algerian friends, a visa is definitely required to enter Oman. You can't just rock up, sahbi, and expect a visa-on-arrival. The good news is that Oman has a pretty efficient eVisa system, which makes the process much smoother than before, nchallah.

You'll need to apply online through the official Royal Oman Police portal. Make sure you select the correct visa type – typically a tourist visa. It’s important to get this done well in advance of your travel date, so you're not left scrambling last minute. Bezzaf important, this step!

However, if you're thinking of stepping out to explore a bit during a longer layover, or if your connecting flights require you to re-check baggage outside the transit zone, then 'chouff', you absolutely need a visa. It's best to apply for a regular tourist eVisa in advance to avoid any issues, especially since specific transit visas can have tricky requirements for Algerians.

For Algerian tourists, the main 'travel authorization' is essentially the eVisa approval you receive after applying through the Royal Oman Police website. Once your application is approved, you'll get an electronic confirmation, which is your green light to travel.

Always print out a copy of your approved eVisa and keep it with your passport, just in case. It's your official permission slip, sahbi. Don't forget it! 'Khalas', once you have that, you're good to go and explore Oman.
