VI & Airtel to increase prices of prepaid plans from November 25 and 26 respectively. Pick the best-prepaid plan with Prune now!

VI & Airtel has decided to raise tariffs of its budget prepaid plans by 20-25% from November 25 & 26 respectively. As the date of the price hike is not far, let Prune help you choose the top budget prepaid plan on our app and website.

The minimum price hike starts from Rs 20 and goes up to Rs 501 for other prepaid plans. Airtel says that it is bringing the price raise into effect to achieve a financially healthy business model and to get a reasonable return on capital on its prepaid services. And VI has decided to follow suit post the press release by Airtel.

Here’s the official statement made by Airtel: “Bharti Airtel has always maintained that the mobile Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) needs to be at Rs 200 and ultimately at Rs 300, so as to provide a reasonable return on capital that allows for a financially healthy business model.” The company also added “Therefore, as a first step, we are taking the lead in rebalancing our tariffs during the month of November. Accordingly, our new tariffs as indicated below will come into effect from November 26, 2021.”

Here’s the official statement made by VI: “The new plans will start the process of ARPU improvement and help address financial stress faced by the industry.” And the company also said that “VI remains committed to playing its role in accelerating the realisation of the government’s Digital India vision. In line with its commitment to providing its customers with simple and convenient products, VI has curated an optimum range of feature-rich plans for both voice and data.”

So, if you’re wondering what this revision of the prepaid plans means for you, Prune has put together the best-prepaid plan you can pick for your monthly recharge.
