This is how Snapchat is welcoming the Halloween season: Prune

And the famous American messaging app Snapchat has come up with exciting new features to celebrate the spooky holidays in style virtually, so you can remain safe as you enjoy Halloween with your friends in the time of the pandemic. 

The app has rolled out Halloween Lenses, Bitmoji costumes, scary Snap Map, and more. So, let’s look into these Halloween-inspired features in detail that Snapchat has in store for you, and if they set the right vibe with their innovative ideas this season. 

Bitmoji outfits

Snapchat has rolled out six new Bitmoji Halloween costumes, so you don’t miss out on the tradition of dressing up out-of-the-box. In this Bitmoji costumes feature, you have the option to choose from a witch, a devil, an angel, a ballerina, a fairy, and a clown. And besides this, you can also try on the Halloween-inspired festive hoodies and three new shirts that include a skeleton and two jack o’ lanterns. Also, you can share Spooky Stickers with your friends via chats and snaps. This feature is a good option to safely dress in a spooky way with your friends, without the covid-scare in crowded Halloween parties. 

Here’s how you can change your Bitmoji outfit:

1. Open the Snapchat app, and click on Profile in the top-left of the screen.
2. On the top of your 3D Bitmoji, select the hanger icon, from where you can access Halloween costumes from the Bitmoji Fashion wardrobe. 
3. Tap on your favourite outfit, and you’re all set. 

Halloween Lenses 

To get in the spirit of Halloween, Snapchat has introduced another interesting feature. As a user, now you can try the three Snapchat Halloween Lenses, which include lenses such as a Werewolf Lens, Haunted House, and Spooky Fashion. 

The Werewolf Lens will morph you into this creature using Snapchat’s AR technology. It will transform you into a human body mesh and body morphing.

The second lens, which is the Haunted House, will turn your home into a spooky setup using the app’s exclusive technology. 

And lastly, you must check out the lens called Spooky Fashion. Here, you can access spooky runway fashion to upgrade your look using upper garment segmentation technology. 

Spooky Snap Map

The app has also brought out a Spooky Snap Map feature, that will help you see where your friends are and which Halloween Bitmoji costume they are sporting. But do note, the app allows you to turn off this feature as well, and switch into Ghost Mode if you wish to.
