Oppo’s first foldable phone might see the light of day soon: Prune
It seems like Oppo’s biggest smartphone launch ever might finally unfold this month. Pun intended. There are many speculations around the Chinese brand’s first-ever foldable phone, and we cannot keep calm. While there has been no official announcement or an exact release date, there is news doing rounds that the company is ready to introduce the rumoured foldable phone next week during Oppo’s annual Inno Day event. And there are reports that the fancy new mobile phone is likely to be named Oppo Find N, which will make for an interesting addition to the company’s existing Find range of smartphones. And we’re finding this news very exciting.
So far, Samsung has made it to the top with its foldable handsets. After launching Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3, the company dominantly took over the market. While Xiaomi and Huawei also came up with their foldable technology, they weren’t as successful in securing the market share like Samsung managed to do. And now, Oppo seems to be ready to take on the competition by coming up with its version of a foldable handset. Whether or not it ends up winning the game, we shall see after the supposed launch of Oppo Find N next week.
Leaked specifications of Oppo’s first foldable smartphone
Amid the rumours and speculations, some key specifications of Oppo’s high-end handset have come out. Besides the obvious foldable design, the gadget can have an 8-inch AMOLED display with slightly curved screen edges. And it can have a refresh rate of 120Hz. There is also word that the smartphone can have the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and come packed with a 4500mAh battery with a 65W fast charging setup.
Regarding the camera feature, the foldable smartphone might have a triple camera system which can include a 50MP primary lens, along with two other lenses and a 32MP front lens for video calls and selfies. The rest of the details will be out after the expected grand launch of Oppo’s first foldable gadget.
