As the Beijing Winter Olympics of 2022 is close by, the South Korean company Samsung has launched a special edition smartphone to honour the occasion. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G has now launched in China, and the model comes in an attractive Winter Dream White colour.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 Olympic Games edition sports a Samsung and Beijing Olympics 2022 emblem at the back as a commemorative gesture to the multi-sport event, which will take place in the upcoming months. And apart from the colour, detailing, and custom UI, the handset features the same specs as that of the original Galaxy Z Flip 3, which was launched worldwide in August. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 gets a whole new look

The standard foldable smartphone by the company gets an upgrade with a special Winter Dream White hue to commemorate the Beijing Olympics 2022. And the handset also features a black cover screen, along with elegant gold framing that goes well with the white body of the handset.

The device also has a custom design and features related to the Olympics. It has an Olympic logo at the back and comes equipped with custom wallpapers, screen locks, and special icons inspired by the games. As of now, the special edition smartphone is available for pre-orders in China, but there’s no official confirmation on whether it will launch globally. The price of the high-end handset is available at around Rs 93,700.

Galaxy Z Flip 3 Olympics Edition: Specifications and hardware

The special edition smartphone, that’s only available as an 8GB + 256GB storage variant, boasts a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also features a cover display of 1.9-inch in size and comes packed with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.

When it comes to the camera department, it features a dual rear camera system with a 12MP primary lens and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. There’s another 10MP sensor on top of the model for selfies and video calls. The smartphone also comes equipped with a 3300mAh battery that can handle heavy use with ease.

For the connectivity options, the handset offers options, such as 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, and USB Type-C port. And it also has sensors such as a gyroscope, fingerprint sensor, light sensor, proximity, and geomagnetic sensor.
