Asus 8z finally launches in India! Here's everything you need to know about it - Prune

Months after the official global announcement from the Taiwanese company, the Asus 8z has finally made its way into the Indian market. The much-awaited premium smartphone comes in a compact size, giving tough competition to other few existing small mobile phones such as iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 12 mini. But while it's small in size, it could more than makeup for it with its power-packed performance.

The Asus 8z will be available for sale on e-commerce retailer Flipkart from 7 March onwards. So if you like the idea of owning a compact flagship smartphone, this is your best bet. But before you decide to spend your money on it, check out the details about the latest handset below!

Asus 8z: Specifications and features

The new Asus smartphone features a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its screen also comes with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, 1100nits of peak brightness, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood, the smartphone boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It will run on android 11 based Zen UI 8 and is 5G compatible. There will only be one variant of Asus 8z available in India, but there are classic colour options to choose from, such as Obsidian Black and Horizon Silver.

In the camera department, the Asus 8z has a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 64MP primary sensor with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The primary sensor can shoot 8k videos at 30fps, while the ultra-wide can shoot 4k videos at 60fps. There's a 12MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls, and it can also shoot 4k videos with ease.

The Asus 8z has a decent battery. It comes packed with a 4000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. For connectivity options, you will find Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, 3.5mm headphone jack, Qualcomm aptX, aptX HD, and more. The new handset also sports sensors, such as a proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, and e-compass sensor.

Asus 8z: Price and availability

The Asus 8z will be available for purchase in India as a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Its sale will go live on Flipkart from 7 March onwards and will be priced at Rs 42999. You can pick the smartphone from colour options such as Horizon Silver and Obsidian Black.
