Apple iPhone 14 Series: Here are all the leaks and rumours you need to know! - Prune

As the hype for the recently launched iPhone 13 series is just going down, we're already looking forward to the next launch this fall. The Apple iPhone 14 is the upcoming line of high-end smartphones, and it has already become the talk of the town. Many rumours and insider news is doing rounds on the internet, and we cannot help but dig into them months before the grand launch by the tech giant.

The event almost always takes place in September, making way for a brand new range of devices. And by now, we have an image of what the iPhone 14 could look like, thanks to the tipsters. If you're looking forward to the iPhone 14 series, there's plenty to be excited about this year. Read on to know what to expect from the new flagship series.

Apple iPhone 14: New design and significant upgrades

Design

While the iPhone 14 series is likely to look more or less similar to the iPhone 13 models, the company might discontinue the notch for Pro variants and go for circular punch-hole cutouts to house the front camera. The front will also sport the standard components for the Face ID feature under the screen, but the models might be eSIM-only without a physical SIM slot.

Display

The iPhone sizes will also see changes with larger screens (about 6.1-inch to 6.7-inch), and it also appears that there won't be any sign of iPhone Mini this year. The standard variant could have a ProMotion display with a 60Hz refresh rate, while the Pro models could have a 120Hz refresh rate.

Camera

The new iPhones can flaunt a triple rear camera setup which includes a 48MP primary snapper, over the 12MP sensor in the current models. We could also get upgrades made to the photography features, such as the ultra-wide camera, along with a new periscope zoom lens for a highly advanced optical zoom. The Pro variants could also offer an 8K video recording feature.

Processor

When it comes to the processor, you can expect an efficient and updated Apple A16 chip to power up the devices. And while the current iPhone 13 models have a maximum storage of 1TB, you can expect a massive upgrade to 2TB in the iPhone 14 series.

Battery

There's not much known about the battery, but the devices could come packed with larger battery capacities than ever before with the use of MagSafe charger in the bundle. This news makes us wonder what will happen to the Lightning port, but according to the leaks, we are less likely to see it in the devices this year.
